Key Benefits of Invisalign

Invisalign is an easy and simple way to get straighter teeth without all the hassle. And the best part is that they’re simple and effective. Some of the benefits include:

Invisible

The clear medical-grade plastic makes Invisalign discreet and almost invisible; most people can’t tell you’re wearing them.

Comfortable

As no metal wires are poking your cheeks or gums, they are comfortable.

Predictable Results

You can see your expected results on our digital 3D software before you get your Invisalign fitted.

Overcrowding

Crowded Teeth

When there isn’t enough room for your teeth to fit normally.
Gapped Teeth

Gaps

If you have extra spaces between your teeth.
Overbite

1

Initial Consult

We assess your teeth and jaw and understand your concern and goal, discussing what can be achieved and which treatment will work best for your case.
2

Treatment Plan

We take a 3D scan and X-rays of your teeth, which allow us to create a detailed treatment plan. This will include the proposed treatment, estimated duration, and expected outcomes. Once the plan is ready, we will contact you to review the estimated results together.
3

The Fitting

This is a painless procedure where a number of small tooth-coloured attachments are placed on the front surface of your teeth. These attachments work together with your aligners to guide your teeth into alignment.
4

Regular Monitoring

With brief but regular check-ups (roughly every 3-5 weeks), we ensure that everything is progressing as it should be with your teeth.
5

Retainers and Maintenance

Once your treatment is complete, we ensure that your new smile is preserved by providing you with retainers that you can take home to ensure your smile stays put.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my Invisalign journey be?

Everyone’s Invisalign journey will look different, but generally Invisalign takes 6 to 18 months.

Is Invisalign treatment painful?

This treatment involves moving your teeth gradually by applying gentle and constant pressure. Some people do feel discomfort for the first few days of wearing the aligners. They usually describe it as ‘pressure’ more than pain. However, if you do feel extreme discomfort or have had pain for many days, please call the clinic.

What happens if I lose or break an aligner?

Don’t worry – just contact us as soon as possible so we can order a replacement for you

We always recommend keeping your previous set of aligners in case this happens. While waiting for your replacement, you can wear your previous aligner to maintain the current position of your teeth.

For example, if you are wearing aligner #8 and it is lost or broken, simply go back to aligner #7 until your replacement for #8 arrives.

Does Invisalign hurt?

No, Invisalign doesn’t hurt, but you may experience slight discomfort and pressure when you’re initially fitted.

Do I need to wear it while I’m sleeping?

You need to wear your aligners at least 20-22 hours a day to get optimal results. It is very unlikely that your aligners would fall out, so you can have it on while sleeping, talking, and even laughing.

Will smoking stain my aligners?

Yes, it can stain the aligners hence, we recommend no smoking or minimal if possible.

Are there any restrictions on diet?

Nope! As the aligners are removable, it is convenient to eat what you want.

However, do note that you are advised to avoid having hot and sugary drinks. You are advised to avoid biting anything hard on the front teeth.

Can I take off my aligners when I need to?

Yes, you are advised to remove them when eating, drinking, or doing your oral hygiene. Even for special occasions like interviews, wedding functions, or graduations.

Do note if you took it off for a certain period for such functions, you will be advised to wear them for those hours afterward.

Since having my braces removed, my teeth have shifted. Can Invisalign fix this?

Yes, as Invisalign helps with straightening teeth, you can do Invisalign even if you’ve done braces before. Many people prefer Invisalign as it is more discreet.

I have veneers or crowns done. Can I still do Invisalign?

Depends. We would highly recommend a consultation with our dentist to assess and evaluate the situation.

How do I clean my aligners?

Brush and rinse them in lukewarm water. Always remember to brush your teeth after each meal before popping back the aligners.

What if I lose or break an aligner?

Call the clinic and inform the dentist about the situation. He or she will ensure you stay on track with your treatment plan which may involve wearing a previous set of aligners or the next one or even ordering replacement ones.

How long will I need to wear the retainers for?

Our dentist recommends wearing the retainer to prevent the teeth from shifting back or moving in a different direction which changes the smile. Every case is different, so you will need to ask the dentist.
